This might just go down in television history.
While many people may not be a fan of reality TV, one moment has captured the attention of millions on social media this week.
It can be summed up in three words: “Montoya, Por Favor!”
The phrase is from a clip from Spanish reality TV series La Isla de las Tentaciones, based on the American series Temptation Island.
It sees couples go to a tropical island where they are split up and live in a house with single people who try to get them to have affairs.
As you can imagine, it’s a dramatic watch and while the US version ended in 2003, the Spanish show is in its eighth season.
It’s all about the contestants, and this moment is about a man named José Carlos Montoya, whose viral reaction has garnered over 110 million views on X.
Part of the show sees the contestants watching their significant others get tempted – or worse, be unfaithful – live from the other villa.
So when Montoya is taken away from the resort by host Sandra Barneda, he knows it’s not good news.
