This popped up in an old photo album today, and wow… what a memory lane moment. I’m 19 in this photo. Young, happy, and completely unaware of the life ahead of me.
I had no clue that I’d go on to have four kids, juggle two mortgages, or move twelve times. I didn’t know I’d change careers (more than once), go through the heartbreak of divorce, or find love again after 40 when I thought it was too late for me.
Life has been a rollercoaster, but looking at this girl, I wish I could sit her down for a minute and tell her just one thing:
“Even if the prince turns out to be the wrong one, always remember that you’re a true queen—strong, capable, and ready to achieve things beyond your imagination!”
I love that girl in the picture, and I’m proud of how far she’s come.
So here’s to all of us—our younger selves, who were just doing their best, and our current selves, who still are.
